Sig Sauer continues to expand its Match Grade Elite Performance Ammunition for rifles, adding a 6.5 Creedmoor Open Tip Match round to the lineup.

Offering a 140 grain Sierra MatchKing bullet, the 6.5 Creedmoor load features a muzzle velocity of 2,675 feet-per-second with a muzzle energy of 2,142 foot-pounds. Sig Sauer says the new round was designed to perform well in wind and to offer superior accuracy to rifle shooters by delivering a flat trajectory with minimal recoil. Engineered using a temperature-stable propellant, the round delivers consistent muzzle velocity in various weather conditions.

“The 6.5 Creedmoor is one of today’s most popular cartridges with competition shooters and hunters alike,” Dan Powers, President of the Sig Sauer Ammunition Division, said in a press release. “It is an impressive, flat-shooting round that delivers precision in challenging, windy conditions.”

The Match Grade Elite Performance 6.5 Creedmoor load is shipping to dealers now with a price tag of $27.99 for a box of 20.
