Hogue Incorporated delivers a new HandALL Beavertail Grip Sleeve designed specifically for the Ruger Security 9. The company said the Ruger’s build made it difficult for regular, replaceable fits to accommodate the Security 9, thus prompting the accessory maker to go all out in designing a new model just for the pistol.

“Due to its built-in grip frame, the Security 9 will not accommodate replaceable grips,” grip designer Matt Hogue said in a press release. “Our solution was to create a model of our HandALL Beavertail Grip Sleeve that works with the firearm’s existing nylon frame to add comfort along with a precision fit.”

The Beavertail Grip Sleeve slips over the Security 9’s grip area until it is perfectly seated into position. Matching the contours of the gun’s frame and offering finger grooves for shooters, the grip sleeve grants users a more comfortable fit. In addition, Hogue said the Beavertail Grip Sleeve design helps cushion shooters’ hands during recoil, distributing the force more evenly.

Built from a thermoplastic elastomer compound, the rubber provides a firm, tacky feel that is also durable. Hogue said the grip sleeve will no “harden, split or crack with age or usage.”

Coated with Hogue’s Cobblestone texture, the HandALL Beavertail Grip Sleeves are available in black for $10.95, or OD Green, FDE, aqua, pink or purple for $12.95.
