Knife-armed attempted carjacker twice rebuffed by gun-armed drivers (VIDEO)

A Florida man is in custody following a crime spree that included ripping off a Walmart cash register and a failed bid to take over two different vehicles during his getaway.

Christopher Raymond Hill, 36, is now in the custody of the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office but on Friday evening was reportedly at the center of a one-man crime wave that started with ripping off an entire cash register from the big box retailer.

Hill, armed with a knife, then made his way on foot to a nearby Supercuts parking lot, where he attempted to take over a truck from driver Michael Reardon after putting the swiped cash register in the vehicle’s bed, News4Jax reported. The move didn’t go well for Hill, as Reardon pulled out a handgun and spooked his assailant.

“These guys can talk about banning assault rifles and banning guns, but when it comes and happens to them, they’re going to wish they had one,” said Reardon, who suffered cuts on his hands from Hill’s knife in the incident.

Hill beat feet to try his luck again with a woman in a Starbucks drive-thru line, only to be met with another gun in the hands of the driver, a Ruger handgun retrieved from the car’s trunk, according to Fox30.

Police eventually caught up to Hill after he barricaded himself in the bathroom of the Supercuts. He was booked on a list of charges ranging from robbery, and carjacking to aggravated battery and is being held on a $91,000 bond.
